AC Labels, a subsdiary of the Mercian Labels Group , who have previously manufactured DETEX labels for the verification of gamma radiation sterilisation, have announced the launch of the GAMMATEX™ brand following the Administration of Sessions of York , their largest customer for that range on 21 April 2010.

We now manufacture the GAMMATEX range of Gamma Radiation Sterilisation self adhesive Labels that are used to indicate exposure to gamma radiation.

Our specialised presses enable us to combine gamma radiation sensitive coatings with special self adhesive label materials to produce a reliable radiation indicating label that starts indicating from 5kGy with a clear change from yellow to red above 20kGy.

Manufactured as either 12mm dots on rolls of 5000 or as stripes on the side of 48x23mm labels with permanent adhesive, our GAMMATEX gamma sensitive labels are a reliable way of indicating gamma radiation exposure and can be either hand applied from the dispenser box or machine applied.
